Søren Nils Eichberg (born 1973) is a German/Danish composer. In 2010 he was announced as the first composer-in-residence of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in the orchestra's history.[1]

He studied piano, composition and orchestra conducting in Copenhagen and Cologne. After winning the Queen Elisabeth Competition for Composers in Brussels in 2001, he mostly concentrated on composition. Other prizes and awards include a Tanglewood fellowship, the German Konrad-Adenauer Composition Grant and the Composition Stipend of the Danish Arts Foundation.

His works include two symphonies, violin - piano- and cello concertos, an opera as well as solo- and chamber music. He collaborates with Ensemble Modern, Hilary Hahn and Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
