Biography
Russian pianist and pedagogue. He was born in Murom in the middle Russia in 1920. At first he was taught the piano by his aunt, Anna Klekova. In 1934 Boshniakovich moved to Moscow and entered the Central Moscow Music School, and after finishing the school he continued the studies in the Moscow Conservatory with Konstantin Igumnov. After the break caused by the war he conticued his studies with Harry Neuhaus.
He performed in the biggest concert halls in Russia, USA, England and Japan. He is also well known as a chamber musician - he performed with the most famous Russian singers, for example Nadezhda Obukhova, Zara Dolukhanova, Dmitry Khvorostovsky.
In his repertoire Boshniakovich has mainly solo piano romantic pieces. He is considered the perfect interpreter of the works by Chopin, Schumann and Czajkowski.
